1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY FEB.22.2020

In celebration of our one year anniversary, we opened our doors and hosted a party that included a day of tattooing, followed by a night of entertainment. Included in the festivities was music by Bear Market Riot + Jillian Wilkey, photos from our friends The Traveling Photo Bus, food from DeBliz Family food truck and a handful of raffles. We want to thank our family, friends and clients who came to be apart of the special day and night and hope to celebrate many more years with you!

MARSH ST. CONSTRUCTION

The Marsh St. Bridge that sits next to the shop is under construction! We are still open for business as usual, unfortunately visiting the shop and regular parking is being affected.

SLO County’s public works site says the following about the current construction…

Construction of the new bridge is anticipated to begin mid- May 2020. This 9‐month duration may be extended if unforeseen delays occur during the construction work. While it will be inconvenient and at times frustrating, the construction of the new bridge requires the closure of Marsh Street to vehicles and pedestrians from the bridge to the Santa Rosa Street intersection. Because Marsh Street is a main corridor heading into Downtown SLO, signage will start at the Highway 101 off‐ramp and continue along Marsh Street to alert motorists of the closure and provide a number of options to detour around the construction site. The street signals along Marsh Street will be adjusted to accommodate the detour.

  • We are providing sanitation stations throughout the shop in addition to single-use disposable masks for your health and safety.

  • The mandated 6 ft distancing will be encouraged in our lobby and we ask all clients to come alone when arriving for appointments.

  • The tattoo area is reserved for tattooers and their clients, guests will be asked to wait outside.

VALENTINES CHARITY

What a great weekend we had for our Grand Opening! In an effort to say thank you to our current clients and friends, and to the future clients, True West decided to give back to the community and host a charity event for Stand Strong, SLO’s local resource for domestic violence and child abuse care. Occurring over four days, we worked round the clock tattooing from 11am to 7pm. Featuring all our artists, the money raised from over 70 tattoos totaled $1800 dollars. We wish to thank everyone that came to get tattooed, and for being a part of an amazing weekend filled with fun and permanent enjoyment!

Please visit https://standstrongnow.org/ to learn more about this life changing organization.
