ARE WALK INS WELCOME

Yes. Walk ins are always welcome, provided an artist has the availability. To ensure you are able to get your tattoo when you desire, feel free to contact us and set up a appointment ahead of time.

IS THERE A SHOP MINIMUM

Yes, shop minimum is $100.

 

WHAT IS THE COST

Tattoos are individually priced based on the size, detail and placement. Pricing is per hour. To get the best price estimate it’s best to speak with your desired artist with your idea or visual references.

HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE

You must be 18 years old to be tattooed in California. There is no parental or guardian consent option.

 

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY NEW TATTOO

Please ask your tattoo artist if you have further questions about aftercare, but we always recommend:

  • Remove the bandage after 3 hours (do not re-bandage at any point)

  • Wash with warm soapy water.

  • Gently dry the tattoo.

  • Apply a thin layer of fragrance free lotion 2-3 times a day after washing.

  • Keep your tattoo clean, showering IS ok.

  • In 2-3 days the tattoo will begin to flake or scab

  • PLEASE DO NOT pick at your new tattoo

  • PLEASE DO NOT submerge your new tattoo in water

  • PLEASE DO NOT expose your tattoo to direct sunlight or tanning beds for 2 weeks

 

WILL IT HURT

Tattoos can be uncomfortable and the discomfort can vary from person to person. Keep in mind some areas of the body are more sensitive than others. It is best to approach your tattoo with a calm sense of mind.

CAN I BRING MY OWN DESIGN

Yes, we are happy to work with your design, we will provide advice if we feel it’s necessary to make a better tattoo for you. We welcome any and all designs.

DO YOU DO COVER UPS

Yes, typically cover up tattoos need to be larger and darker than the original tattoo. Some designs work better than others for cover ups, so speak to your artist directly for your best options.

HOW DO I GET TO THE SHOP

True West Tattoo is located just under a mile from the 101 fwy on Marsh St. Marsh is a one direction street so please plan accordingly for your drive. There is metered street parking available and one block behind the shop you will find free street parking.
